Wishing You the best in the already started 2010. Here's Our Updates

Hey Everyone;

In the pride of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics:
GO CANADA, GO!

We wanted to thank all of you for your supportive ideas, comments and questions. It's been a while since we have kept in touch with you via Facebook, so we decided to give you a heads up. If you click on the discussion tabs you will find there, a discussion called, "FIND DAS PRODUCTION ON:", there you'll find the links where you can also find us on (twitter, myspace, blogger and Youtube with video uploads coming soon). Or you can click on the tab "Info" which will show you those same websites.

2010 has hit the family of DAS Productions by surprise. With the death that has gone on, we decided to make a doucmentary film based on the life of Diane Mooney. Aunt to Tara and mother to Martin.

So here's the update, we have been working on new scripts on skits and movie ideas. With the last finishing touches and final corrections to the script, Freddy VS Jason Sequel. It'll soon be ready to send out and be sold. We have been working on the Doucmentary of the Life of Diane Mooney as mentioned above which will be called, "There's always tomorrow". A famous quote by Diane Mooney repeated. As well as the wedding edit to the happy married couple, Dawn and Victor Michaud. Making some last finishing touches on the editing of a few skits that were filmed last year. One called, "Delusion." When it's ready, it'll be uploaded onto our Youtube page. We recently found out that the Doritos Company is having another contest. It's quite similiar to the one they had last year. Name that flavor and make a commercial. It only has a different name to the contest and with the success they had last year, they have upped the winnings. We have about 7 ideas that we would like to film for that.

As for Mrs. Knapps'; Deal, we are hoping to start up the auditions again at Share the Warmth soon. That information will be given out as soon as dates are confirmed.

We want to thank all of you for your interest in DAS Productions.

Have a great one! All the best

In Loving Memory - Diane Mooney Foley Sheehan

Happy New Year, everyone. Wishing you all the best in 2010.

Even though this year a just begun so much has happen. I apologize for not making time to write a blog.

Four days into 2010, Martin and I have lost a loved one. Martin, a mother, and that same person was my Aunt. She was a great inspiration to everyone in the family. It's still very hard to believe that she is gone. After everything was say and done, Martin and I, decided to use DAS Productions and make a memorial video. Not realizing the amount of interest we have in this video, we have recently decided to turn it into a documentary film. After the huge turn out at her funeral (about 100 plus people), it became clear to us that we are on the right plan. Even though she is not a celebrity she was very loved by her friends and family.

We will be sending out a sample video of anyone interested in helping. Everyone that helps their name goes into the alread growing credits. This video is going to be put online as a sample of what's to come. We hope to have the filiming done by the end of the summer 2010. Our goal is to put it online by the 1st anniversary the lastest.

All the best

Chip Junkie - DORITOS COMMERCIAL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDO7Ev1Lt_E

This commercial was entered into the DORITOS GURU contest. This was 1 of 5 commercials we made for this contest. Only 2 were entered on time. We did not win but we did it more for the experience and exposure. I have to get the consent from DORITOS to upload these 5 commercial onto D.A.S. Productions YouTube Page.

The Rules for the contest:
The contest was to not only to invent a name for there mystery chip brand, with a question mark on it but a skit as well. It had to have a happy ending, be 30 seconds, and had to make sure we weren't advertising anything else within the footage. It didn't even give us time for credits. Not that you normally see credits in a commercial. Oh, and add some of the goodies they featured on their website which had some special effects and music, songs and sound effects. It was an interesting challenge taking all the footage we had and fit it within a 30 second time frame. I'm hoping with the consent, we will then upload our unedited version of all the skits, as well as the 30 second versions.

Background for this particular commercial:
The original idea was Martin. The concept was to have a guy that goes around stealing other people's chip. It was an idea that was created for the sole purpose to be able to make other commercials off of one concept, putting the Chip Junkie in different scenarios. After reading all the terms and conditions, they didn't want the promotion of negative activity. In other words, it was morally not a good idea to have some one stealing and getting away with it.

After reading that, we had to go and make an alternative ending making the Chip Junkie lose in the end. To which we added the scene where I steal the chips back. I partially think that's why we didn't win. "Two wrongs don't make it, right." Right? The people that did win. They did an excellent job. It was a very unique idea. After entering ours, I noticed that many people had the stealing chip idea. So that's pretty much the background. Once Doritos gives us consent, I'll upload the video on YouTube and then link it to this blog site, MySpace, Twitter, and we have a group on Facebook, through, Martin's page.

Enjoy!

All the best!
